TNT FOUNDING MEMBERS STATEMENT:

As creatures created in God's image, we gather to work for a better world. We bring our talents and abilities, our hopes and our dreams. Though we are diverse, we gather with trust and with hope. We seek to dispel fear and doubt as we organize to build a community which responds to the economic, social, educational, and physical concerns of those who live here with concern and compassion, respect and love.

 THE MISSION AND PURPOSE OF TNT

TNT – Tying Nashville Together is a broad-based citizens organization that consists of churches, synagogues, businesses, and neighborhood associations, where people of faith and power come together to improve our community.
The power we seek is the:
Power to govern;
Power to shape public policy for justice;
Power to take our place at the table when decisions are made;
Power to represent the interests of our people;
Power to negotiate with other powers in the city.

Our aim is:
To speak in the voice of those not yet at the table,
To get poor people to the table,
To identify issues of importance to the broader community, and
To join the self-interest of the community in an organization that can bring about change.
